NAHSH MAQUILING OF ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE fame is nominated Best New Artist in #NDMusic

CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES (September 24, 2015) — Nahshon Maquiling (to vote here), fondly referred to as Nahsh, is nominated as Best New Artist in the #ND Music Awards, or annual independent music awards.

Selection of nominees was more difficult than ever having received thousands of entries this year compared to last year, says founder Njel de Mesa. VIDEO HERE (Official Announcement of Nominees for 2016)

Nahsh was able to make it to the cut having created a portfolio that validated active participation in the indie music since since 2005; foremost is his founding of Bisrock band Assembly Language, creation of original Cebuano songs and related materials that promote local pride. Nahsh is one of the proponents of a music (cultural) phenomenon here called “Bisaya rock.”

This has led Nahsh to seeking membership to the Filipino Society of Composers, Artists and Publishers for further protection of his creation, training, and other programs and opportunities that benefit an independent artist. ###
